Iowa 2019

Just returned from another fantastic week at the Iowa Summer Writing Festival. I've been attending week long writing workshops there about every other year for 25 years or so. This year I took a took a class from Max Garland, former Poet Laureate of Wisconsin. What an experience! Do yourself a favor and buy his books. Here's a sample poem that I particularly like:
